Singular Set up guide

Singular is a marketing analytics and attribution platform. Connecting Singular with Roku Ads Manager will enable the sending of app install events to Roku Ads Manager to power (a) attribution reporting, (b) automated optimization for Installs, and (c) custom audience building within our platform.

At the same time, it will return attribution data back to Singular for holistic reporting within your Singular reporting dashboards.

Set Up Steps

Follow these steps to connect your Ads Manager account with Singular, enabling the delivery of install events across both platforms.

  1. Sign into Ads Manager

  2. Go to the Events page

  3. Click Connect with a Partner

  4. Copy the Event Group ID

  5. Send Roku (adsmanagersupport@roku.com) the following information:

    1. Your MMP name (in this case, Singular)

    2. Your Event Group ID

  6. Sign into your Singular account

  7. Go to Attribution > Partner Configuration and type "Roku" in the search box. Click Add Partner.

  8. Paste your Event Group ID (copied in step #4) in the Roku parameters field

  9. [Optional] Check probabilistic events if tracking

  10. Installs will be tracked by default.

  11. Map your Singular app events to Roku Ads Manager events

    Events will appear in Roku Ads Manager attribution reporting based on this mapping configuration


    Specify Attribution Settings

  12. [Mandatory] - Enable View-through Attribution.

Note: Roku's attribution window is 14 days. It's recommended to set up the view through attribution window in Singular to the max allowed (24 hours).

13. [Recommended] - Enable Re-engagement Tracking if you want to attribute re-engagements for existing app users that engage with a Roku ad.

14. You are now ready to launch your campaign! Please note that Events can take up to 4 hours to appear in Roku Ads Manager

Enable Access

15. [Optional] - Enable access to Roku by navigating to Users & Agencies under your user name:

16. Click Create new user. Verify which email to add with your Roku point of contact.

17. Select Restricted to only share Roku relevant configurations.

Additional considerations:

  • If you use an Singular click-URL for Action Ads, users will be routed to the correct app store based on their mobile OS. However, please note that click-events driven by Action Ads may be attributed to this link instead of Roku Ads.
