Not seeing any event data? It can take up to 4 hours for the data to arrive.

Below we will cover some tips on troubleshooting for pixel and event installation:

How to check that the base pixel code and events were added to your website using the Roku Pixel Helper Chrome Extension:

Roku Pixel Helper is a Google Chrome extension that helps advertisers verify and troubleshoot pixel installation. It will help you verify, debug, and troubleshoot warnings or errors during pixel and event installation.

Download the Roku Pixel Helper Chrome extension here.

Once installed, simply click the extension to run a quick diagnostic on your page. You'll see a drop-down that shows any events you have installed.

Expand each event for more details and recommendations on how to optimize your installation.

How to check that events are being tracked using the Events page:

If it's been more than 4 hours and the Events page table doesn't show any event data, try these steps:

JS Pixels:

  1. Recheck the base pixel code on your website for possible typos or accidental modifications that could've happened during placement. You can access your pixel code again by clicking on the "Set up base pixel" button.

  2. Ensure you have selected the connection type "Javascript" within the Events page "Select event type" drop-down. You should see Page views under the Events column. If you do not see Page views here, the pixel might not be implemented correctly

This applies to all other events, as well. The Events table will show all events you have set up and include an icn for the set up type (i.e. Partner, Pixel, etc). Just keep a look out for data to populate under "Last fired" and a trend line to populate under "Last 7 days".

By clicking on the event name, you can see a breakdown according to connection type:

  3. If the base code is there, make sure it was placed in the head and not in the body. It can only pass data between your website and Roku Ads Manager when placed in the head, like this:

Conversions API (CAPI)

  1. Ensure the API key and Event Group ID are correct (Event group IDs are case sensitive)

  2. At least one identifier should be included.

  3. Send an example of your payload to your point of contact or support for additional troubleshooting.
