How to use the charts and dashboards within the Reports page

Updated over a week ago

Visualized reporting gives you at-a-glance insight into any of your campaigns that have run within the last year, updated every few hours.

To get started, navigate to the Reports page.

Visualized reports about your Ad account are shown by default. Use the left-hand nav to switch to Location for a deeper look at geographic delivery, or Creative for insight into about creative performance.

See the following sections for deeper dives on each visualized reporting dashboard.

Ad Account

The Ad account visualized report offers the most detail and customization of all reports. It looks at performance over time across any or all campaigns within your selected ad account.

Dashboard and filters

The first thing you'll see on this page is a dashboard that rolls up some of your most important metrics.

This is the quickest place to see:

  • Delivery: How much you spent, how many times your ad was shown (impressions), and what it cost for every one thousand ad views (CPM)

  • Reach: How many unique homes saw your ad, and at what cost (cost per unique reach)

  • Actions: How many campaign goal actions did your ad drive, and at what cost (CPA)

By default, the ad account dashboard shows data across all campaigns over the last 30 days. Use the filters to select specific goals, choose certain campaigns, or adjust the date ranges to customize your visualized reports. These adjustments will impact all the charts on the page.

Interactive charts

As you move down the page, you'll find interactive charts that help you easily uncover ad account trends for your selected filters. Click on each metric at the bottom of each chart to expose or hide it, and download data (PDF of CSV) by clicking the cog wheel at the top right of each chart.

Use the tabs above the first chart to jump between charts:

  • Overview: View spend and ad impressions delivered, highlighting delivery trends.

  • Household: View impressions and unique homes reached, visualizing frequency trends.

  • Purchases: View total and average order value, showcasing purchase values driven by your ads. Note that this chart populates only if you've applied the transaction value macro to your purchase event.

  • Cost: View both CPM and CPA over time, showcasing efficiencies on media spend and the actions your media is driving.

  • All Actions: This chart is the perfect place to check out all the actions your campaign is driving, not just those represented in the more specific charts above it. The All Actions chart contains metrics for all of the event types that your campaigns are tracking.

Location

Select Location on the left-hand nav to get a better look at geographic delivery.

This will populate a visualized display of the US, showing impressions delivered by state. The darker the purple, the more you delivered. The lighter the purple, the less you delivered.

This visualized report also gives you a sortable chart of impressions, CPM, household reach, CPUR, total order value, and average order value.

As with all visualized reports, download this data (and the line-by-line output below it) by selecting the cog wheel on the top right of the chart.

Creative

Select Creative on the left-hand nav to uncover trends across your different creatives.

This will bring up a line-by-line break out for any ad creatives that have run on your selected campaigns. You can sort this chart by spend, impressions, household frequency, CPUR, CPM, and actions. You can also download the data by selecting the cog wheel at the top right of the chart.
